Conservatives Second In Reddish

Two members of Reddish Conservative Club stood as candidates in last Thursday's local election. Anthony Hannay finished a clear second in Reddish North, with 25% of the vote. In Reddish South, Steve Burt also finished a respectable second too, with 33% of the vote.

Reddish North

  1. Ann Graham (Labour) 1341 votes.
  2. Anthony Hannay (Conservative) 699 votes.
  3. Paul Bennett (British National Party) 402 votes.
  4. Peter Weigert (Liberal Democrats) 321 votes.

Reddish South

  1. Andrew Verdeille (Labour) 1382 votes.
  2. Steve Burt (Conservative) 917 votes.
  3. Danny Langley (Liberal Democrats) 494 votes.
