Like all private members' clubs, candidates for membership must be proposed and seconded by existing members who must be known to the candidate personally and are able to vouch for their suitability. Therefore, should you be interested in becoming a member of Reddish Conservative Club, you will first need to approach two existing members that you know personally and get them to agree to propose and second you.
The next task is to complete an application form. The application form is available to download here or, alternatively, an application form can be obtained from the Club in person. Please ensure that you read the declaration and guidance notes on the form before completing it.
The completed application form must then be submitted to the Secretary together with an application fee of 15p; fear not, the application fee is returned if you are unsuccessful in your application!
Candidates for membership—together with their proposer—will then be called for interview to assess their suitability for membership of the Club. Once accepted for membership, your subscription fee will then be due (which is the full per annum price regardless of the time of year that you join).
There is no joining fee, although all members must purchase a key fob when they join, in order to permit entry onto the premises. As at 31st March, 2008, the subscription fees are as follows:
- Adult member: £12 per annum
- Honorary Member: Free (over 65 and a member for 10 years or more)
- ACC affiliation card: £2 per annum
- Key fob for entry: £3 (refundable deposit)
Membership fees are due on the 31st January each year.
